When a trainer sends you a price, read what it covers. Is the price for a fixed number of days? Are lessons for you included? Are updates part of it? Is there a charge for late pickup? A clear offer lists these items without prompting.
Georgetown's Wikipedia page lists San Gabriel Park, Lake Georgetown, Berry Springs Park, Blue Hole Park and Garey Park, among others, and says the city has more than thirty miles of trails. After a stay, those give you plenty of variety for practice. Check each park's posted dog rules.
The historic square draws large crowds during the Red Poppy Festival each April, which makes it a hard test of calm manners. Do not start there. Work up from quiet corners.
Offers usually fall between $1,500 and $2,500, sometimes higher. Compare them only when the programs are truly alike in length and attention.
It also helps to ask how the trainer decides a dog is ready to go home. Some use a checklist of skills and some rely on feel. Ask which one this trainer uses, and ask to see the skills tested in a place that looks like your neighborhood rather than the trainer's yard.
Treat every figure as a general estimate. Trainer, dog and market all change the real price.
